This post includes todays finds with 2 other days, total of 12 hours of hunting (24 man hours).
We spent the morning finishing the Roman site we were on. Its a 12 acre Site, which last time we gridded it all we had 170 Roman Bronze Coins,& 1 silver, this time we only got 24 & 1 silver. At least the silver was one of the best.
We now need to wait for a deep plough, sad to see our last good option out of the way & still plenty of time to fill until harvest.:sadsmiley:

This afternoon we moved to a nearby field, not a good one, but one where a couple of hammered had come out of 1 corner. It was a blank other than 1 medieval buckle. Tried another field without success & called it a day.

9 Roman Coins
Victorian? Horse Brass
Roman Nail (only keep the odd good looking ones)
Medieval Buckle
Cru'Dad spotted an eyes only very rare Roman Plastic Rabbit.
Bits...

It is sad when you feel a site has been finished to the best of your ability, but as we all know, once the soil is turned over, it just may be new again. Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones.

True, but although a deep plough will bring up plenty more, we have really hammered this site over the years, which is why we keep needing to replace them.

A good 3 days:thumbsup: Today was one of our worst results this year; 1 Scrappy, 1 Button, 1 Medieval Buckle, 1 Horse Brass, & the best plastic rabbit we have ever found (10 man hours!)

That's one thing that three's no shortage of in England is the rabbits, congrats on the Roman version. :) Liking the buckle it's a nice one. That's one big iron nail, it's a keeper.

First one, I've had a plastic duck before with a magnet in it.
