said we wouldnt find anything but nails, it seemed that we wouldnt find nothing but clad , which is all we have found in our yard, found a total of 61 cents but one of those was a 1924 merc ! and the wife found it . i thought she was trying to pull a good one on me, like when we go fishing she trys to make me think she got a big bite then i do the same to her , but this time she got herself , she said it was a dime 4 inches down , dug and seen something shiny made a fist to hind it and gave me that deer in the headlight look, so i said a pulltab wasnt it , she said nope this is really good so i gave her one of these >:( she looked back in her hand then she got all serious ! sure enough she had a 1924 merc !! i think we will go back some tommorow night ;) , her first merc looks like i'm still waiting on mine :'(

Re: neighbor let us detect his front yard and WOW

heres an UPDATE ! went out this afternoon to the same place found a few pennies oldest was in the 70s was by myself for awhile , went back in the house to get a drink then the wife went out and started to hunt , and she found some pennies and dime that wasnt very old , i went back out and after awhile i got a dime signal that turned into a quarter signal at 6 inches kind of acted funny, started to dig, got down about 6 inches found nothing ! then the signal went away! just vanished. so the wife came over to see what her md would say , she couldnt find a signal either! it was just gone :'( i had a hole about the size around as a 3pound coffee can, we both said something had to be there, i looked overhead and there was power lines so i thought they was messing with our md's wife ask me if i put any dirt back in the hole and i said no so she grabbed a handfull and was looking through it so i grabbed some to and thats when i seen it !!! shiney silver !!! a 1908 barber dime ! but i dont know why both detectors didnt make a beep unless the power lines did mess with us and also before my MD said it was a quarter 6 inches down ? Glad we didnt give up , my first barber dime yippy !!! ;D going back this evening, hope theres more !
