As am getting my stuff ready, I'm about to plug in my headphones and notice the headphones port sunk into the box, what else could u expect its a tracker IV, I quickly pulled a phillips screwdriver and took the box apart and managed to the headphone port in the correct place. This really threw my off, to make matters worse, my batteries. I also carry extra and guess what the NEW batteries in backpack were dead. I just happened to have some used ones and those work good. But for the entire hunt the detector was not right. I don't know if it was that i opened the box or the use batteries. I got a total of 5 Dimes, 3 Pennies and 1 Quarter, and on my very last hole, pops pendant looking thing, with a square hole in the middle, upon examining i notice it was a Chinese coin. It had a clothing piece attached to hang like pendant i guess from a chain. When i got home i took the clothing strip to look at the characters in more detail. The coin seem really thick, and it look like sandwich metals. Thats when i notice it was actually 3 coins and they were being held together by the clothing strip. Although I been a coin collector for about 10 years, I have never had any Chinese coins like this ones. I know they are common, but never owned one. If anyone has any info, please let me know. I curious the find out what time period are they from. CIMG2093.JPG CIMG2095.JPG CIMG2097.JPG

At last, redemption for a crappy day. I dug my one and only Chinese coin in October and was thrilled.

I pulled a similar Chinese coin that was attached to a wrist
band that was woven. I got it with the Excalibur in the water.
I was.told that it was a good luck coin.

8Reales,

I'm not good at dating the Chinese cash coins but they seem to have some age.

A bit of background info for you back in the day the Chinese pants didn't have any pockets just a draw string similar to marshal arts uniforms so they'd
string the coins together and wear them around their neck for safe keeping.

Regards + HH

Bill

I'm no good with these types of coins, but experience on here tells me they could very likely be 1700s. Full ID will need better pictures.

Nice finds. Glad your day got better.

I also think they are modern lucky charm, but I think the coins are real and old, I've know that these coins are abundant and not expensive at all. So people just fix them into charms to make a quick buck.
