Nice Jeton

Latest finds included, a small lead medieval token. The usual cut quarter Henry III ( 1247-72 ). Also a very good condition jeton. Made in Nuremberg, find plenty of this type, but they are mostly in poor condition. This one as survived well over the centuries. Robert.

I know what you mean, only about 1 in 50+ of this type come out nice, without rhyme or reason.

Totally agree with you guys, this mediaval period (called Royal period across the channel) is a nightmare for coins compound. There are not "rare" but it is rare to find one in good shape

Very nice! I know how bad our copper coins come out over here and these are much older. Common or not its a beauty.
