    A first for me.

Ok this may not be General George's lucky boot spur, but its my very first (1906) Indian Head penny. I was so excited when I found it, I shut my detector off and went home to get fresh batteries. Unfortunately I didn't find another coin when I went back, but that's ok I'm happy. Click image for larger version.

Congratulations on that nice coin. I remember my first and only IH, a 1907. I didn't even know what I had until I got home; thought it was probably a wheat.

Put that bad boy in a coin folder and mark the date and place of find. You will always enjoy looking back on your firsts.
