Im still kind new at metal detecting. Today in my neighbors yard I found this 1910 wheat penny. It is the oldest coin that I have found to date. IMG_3180.JPG IMG_3184.JPG

That is a very good find. It says you are looking where there is a very good possibility of finding some silver. Practice cutting plugs in your own yard until you can leave nothing that jumps out at people, then hit all your neighbor's' yards that will give you permission. Good luck:coffee2:

Yeah. I live in a small town that dates back to the early 1800s. I have been practicing in my neighbors yard and my backyard. I'm hoping I can find some silver soon.
