Got back out today for a good part of the day. The hunt started off slow with nothing but trash. The first good target was the Lc, right away I knew it was shot but was hoping I might be able to at least bring out a bust, but didn't happen. The next decent find was the powder flask piece, looked for the rest but to no avail. The 1810 half cent made the hunt for me but she is in very bad shape too. I am happy to at least get a date off of it, but she is pretty much toasted. --HH 002.JPG 007.JPG 008.JPG 009.JPG 011.JPG 015.JPG

I love finding early coppers, unfortunately mine usually come up just as toasted as yours. I still love finding them. Nice going. Half cent's a nice find.

Those old coppers are always welcome finds .I have dug several smaller green coins half cent size, but those I could not read the date. All of the L.C, ones were readable ,and some came up in really great condition.

Congratualtions on the half cent! Time is not kind to the old coppers, too bad; such a wonderful coin series.
