I think that definitely qualifies as a Coin-Star jackpot! I have never managed to find a damn thing in one of those machines! Congrats!

That's incredible! I've only found 1 silver but a ton of clad in the coinstar machines here. I'm going grocery shopping in a bit. Here's hoping some of your luck heads this way! Congrats!

Some old lady that has been saving coins in a jar forever, no doubt. Nice score.

Great CoinStar finds. I love it when you can walk away from the grocery store with free silver.

My big coinstar find yesterday was six korean dimes(?) Made out od aluminum i think. and a token from a local amusement park.
BUT, my eyes are always trained on the reject slot whenever I pass a coinstar machine. You just never know...........

I had a great CoinStar score back in the summer which I posted about at the time but I'm not gonna' hijack the thread with pics. I also found a pile of foreign coins last weekend a few hours after reading about another T'Net member scoring.

The real point I'm trying to make is as stated above, I agree there must be something in the air. Treasures do seem to appear in waves; that's for sure. It may be another 6 months before it happens again. Then again, this wave may have only just begun! I hope so.
We shall see.....

I wonder if that score qualifies as a TNET COINSTAR record of silver finds in a single visit . Who is the Tnet keeper of the records?
Congrats

Looks like a jackpot to me! That's close to $50 in silver just by weight alone! :treasurechest::thumbsup:

Unfortunately, not much my friend. A few cents at best. If my memory serves there was at least one doubled die for that year and that might bump up the value a little. But hey, keep it for what it's worth to you. I always liked em; great story and unique in American coinage.

I have a thought about the coin star. I think it rejects silver? Because of the weight? Just guessing. what do you think?
