Man I had to work off the Honey-DO list from H. E. double hockey sticks this week. :BangHead: Finally got out today and went back to my latest permission. Last time there, I pulled a Barber quarter. No silver today, :dontknow: but I did find my 4th ring for 2016. It's 14K Gold filled Sterling with CZ stone. :headbang: I dug almost every signal today. After getting home I noticed that I had pulled 3 tokens. Two were mangled, but I got them back into shape. The square one is from the 1950s "Good for 10 cents on purchase price Colgate's or Palmolive Shave Cream". I also pulled an oriental motif medallion, the remains of a pocket watch, my 1st Merry Widow container and my oldest dog tag (1957). The owner decided to mow his yard, so I went to two other older permissions. The "Brick House" has been pounded and is played out. I only pulled a penny and a finial. I then went back to a farm house and talked to Nelva, She is the sweetest lady. Pulled a little junk from her yard and some clad.

Not the best day, but at least the 2 wheats (1940 & 52D) kept me from being skunked on keeper coins.

I think your oldest finds might be those old toy cars. They look like old 30's design. Good digs all around brother. I didn't get out at all this weekend between family gatherings and my honey-do list. But all is calm at home - Dawn has her raised garden and I can have a beer.

You're always welcome out east anytime buddy. The Basstards always have time and a site for you bro

Thanks Steve. I'm cool with the tokens and other items like the pocket watch remnants from the 1900 house. Looking forward to swinging the coil with you.

Nice saves Loco. I found my first 3 Merry Widow about 2 weeks ago in my yard, only the top and pretty beat to hell but it still counts!

Looks like a fine day to me. Some nice saves there.

I think we all tend to measure a successful day by the type and quantity of finds. I don't subscribe to that thought. :)

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks RN, I have not done much but detect for the past 2 years, somethings just had to get done. Hope you stay comfortable until you can swing again.

Congrats, you should try some water hunting with me this summer, come here or I'll come out there to investigate some lakes around you?

Thanks Brad. Lake Erie is 20 miles North. I swing a 1280X and don't know if it will do good in salt water. I got it for fresh water. My casa your casa.

Love digging those tokens . Gives me a little window into the past and there are so many different ones that you never know what your going to find

Thanks 46W. I like to see a token in the hole. Dug 81 in 2 years, about half are from Shell gas stations.

Sweet ring! I have found the GF over Sterlings before too, always a welcomed treat. Happy Hunting Loco! Sub 8-)

Thanks sub. Maybe some year my permissions will yield more gold & silver bling like your hunting grounds.

Thanks OBN, The Shell gas tokens are common around here. Dug tokens are cool to research.

Cool finds! Sterling is awesome!

Thanks Skippy, the wife's eyes always light up when she sees a ring like that.

Nice saves Loco. I found my first 3 Merry Widow about 2 weeks ago in my yard, only the top and pretty beat to hell but it still counts!

Thanks Q, are we peculiar since we find value in a condom container? I've seen them found by others here and felt like it's something that was cool and was hoping to find (kinda like a harmonica reed).

Nice hunt Loco ..

Thanks PP, it was nice to get out after 6 days of Honey Do's

Well done LD! That elusive will silver will show up shortly, I am sure of it!

Thanks Tom, There are so many local properties I want to hunt, this year should be another fun one.

"Thanks Q, are we peculiar since we find value in a condom container? But others have posted them and seemed happy so we are not alone. I ran into another hunter at the store, Waynos on here and another site, one of his finds he mentioned this year was.....you guessed it, his first Merry Widow tin.
