Today's haul buttons one is new to me ?

Hello all hope you're out swinging it's chilly today so wear a light jacket for a free I got out this morning for a couple hours I hit a spot have been looking at not a lot on the coin side I scored one Indian four buttons and I'm not sure maybe a belt buckle plate? But one button I found it strange to me looks almost Roman with the helmet and looks like a headdress off the top of the helmet I don't know what it is so if anyone does please give me a line thanks for looking happy hunting and good luck

Is it a two-piece? Can you post a photo of the back?

Glad you were able to get out for a little hunt. I look forward to finding out what that "Roman" button is all about.

Best of luck to you Charlie!

Hi; It may not be a Roman Headed button. No way to know unless you can clean it up a bit. I think some of the concretion has filled in a space on the button that is making it look that way. I also believe it is modern. It is a 2 piece button. Also, what material is it made from ??? I think that after you clean it up and we know what material it is made from then we can better ID it for you ok. PEACE:RONB

Hey Charlie, glad you got out and dug a few keepers today. I'm still planning where I'll go on Saturday. Hopefully I can eke out an Indian head like you and maybe some cool buttons and such.

I think it looks like Roman Charlie! Lol.

I know site you're on is old, but when do you suppose it was abandoned? If I had a guess I would say that button is 20th C.
