1883 Indian Head cent
Targets were few and far between today. Grass in the park has not been cut where we were detecting. Ran into John there and we both had three good finds apiece. John came away with a Buff, shield nickel and an 1880 IHP.
My three keepers are an 1883 IHP (full LIBERTY), a convex tombac button, and a green marble.

Thanks Evolution! The Indian needed only work with a small piece of wood to scrape away most of the dirt.

That IHC is a beauty! Looks like it was dropped early, and the ground was very kind to it. Congrats

 Coin Rescue Tech
Nice hunt McCDig. It's a;ways great to pull an Indian head, especially one that is in great shape with plenty of detail.

My passion is for hunting relic sites, as I feel the imprint of past lives often lingers there!
Detectorists finds, are the background noise of antiquity!
Don't question it ... just dig it!
