Got out with Todd Hiltz today to some cellar holes.we found 5 sites and they were hit before but we managed a few keepers from each site.some very nice condition pewter buttons.probably a early 1700's colonial shoe buckle frame & a matron head Large Cent which has a altered reverse :laughing7: .some other nice designed buttons as well.one being a possible Tudor Rose Royal Navy Rev War button

All good finds, but I don't buy into the Rev War button story (rose). Far too many Civvy versions about, to tell the difference.

That is a whole display case right there. Can't believe you pulled all that from a known site...just killer technique. The profane cent and shoe buckle are my favs, low and high brow mix that I am.

Excellent collection of relics from that site, my 2 cents on the tutor rose pewter- right material, right design (split cast with iron loop shank), right insignia for British lieutenants. Looks good to me

I rarely find any older buttons with designs on them, most are just plain and flat. Those are really nice! Thanks for sharing.
