Got a nice 48-51 signal on my second hole & out popped this beauty!

Any chance this could be civil war era? This park was a cavalry training site for a few years... highly unlikely, but it looks to have an eagle on the bottom of it.

What do you guys think the letters are?

No markings. Size of a dime

I'm not seeing an eagle. There is a ribbon/bow at bottom.
NA or JJA for letters.
Wondering if the wreath is a holiday symbol , or a remembrance/mourning brooch.

Looks like old English Script,, N A
With the bow at the bottom, I was thinking holiday brooch,,
N A could be person's initials or may even be a custom brooch for Narcotics Anonymous.
Congrats on some sweet gold.

Appreciate it. I can see NA now... thought it was my initials (TR) when I pulled it out of the hole - can't read cursive to save my life!

Just a monogram pin, but cool nonetheless!

Never knew what a monogram pin was, now I do! Thanks!

Congratz on GOLD!

Thanks CC!

Hi; Nice Find. It is NOT Civil War Era. The style of clasp on the reverse is a modern style. Still a nice piece. Congrats. PEACE:RONB

I'll take your word for it Ron, thanks!

Would make a nice display!

Agreed. I was going to buy a jewelry display, but I only have 2 gold jewelry pieces :laughing7:
Couple more!

:occasion14: Congrats on the unique piece.

Thanks Loco! I couldn't be happier - cleaned it 2 times already :occasion14:

nice find! it looks kind of crudely made, as if perhaps it was reworked from a gold coin or something.
