Went to a permission where the house was built in 1828. Nick told me it would not be a problem to detect today since he was just going to cut down some dead trees. I pulled a 1907 Barber dime the last time I hunted there. This house was part of the underground railroad and was station 98..

I hunted for 4 hours. Most of the targets came from the front yard. I did pull a 1926 Merc and a couple wheats (1939 & 48). These coins were 8" deep. The crotal bell was also about 8" deep. I'm thinking that I need to hunt the front yard again after a soaking rain if I want to find any of the 19th century coins that must be deep. I used my 12" x 15" SEF coil during today's hunt since I already gridded most of the yard using the stock DD coil.
