Haven't been able to get out lately but was able to sneak in a quick after work hunt.

My keepers for the night was a buffalo nickel with no readable date, a 99-year-old 1917 Mercury dime.

One other interesting find was the tag in the second photo. Odd thing is, it's the second one I found. I have to look for the other one it's somewhere in a bag in my truck. I found it a couple weeks ago. Didn't think too much of it the time. The one I found tonight is in much better condition. If anyone has any idea what it is or what it was for I'd appreciate the information. The markings are as follows: MSGSP 533. It is about the size of a nickel.

Thanks for looking and happy hunting.

Congrats on digging those 3 keepers DD. :occasion14: I never get tired of seeing Buffalo's nor Mercs in the hole. They feed the fire. Sorry I am no help on the tag.

Thanks for replies, later I will be able to post a picture of the back of the tag so it's not confused with being token, sorry about that, there is a piece that's folded over with a hole that you can't see in the front view. Having trouble with Google search on those letters mentioned. Madison Square Garden comes up a lot though LOL

Could the last two letters stand for swimming pool? Does the tag have a hole in it for putting on a key ring?
My guess is it is a tag for a key for the swimming pool lockers.

Found the other tag, front and back photos, pool locker tags? Sounds like something to go on. I see what I can find out. All info welcome.
