1800s Catawba Valley NC Pottery "Thomas Ritchie"

Found this beautiful piece of pottery today at a local thrift store here in town. Unbelievably found it at $3. I was told it was a Late 1800s North Carolina Catawba Valley Pottery Piece made by Thomas Ritchie. I'm not real sure of value but was only told it could fetch a good dollar amount.
