Well I thought I would try for some more capbadges on the Dump field & got a couple (that I need again).

A hallmarked silver ring - Birmingham - 1894

Star find - A coin which has been on my top 5 wish list for years:

Julius Caesar silver Denarius - dated 49-48BC - 100 years before the conquering of Britain.

Julius was the first to invade Britain but failed. Looking at the coin it has 100 years of wear & although minted in Rome came over in the late 1st century AD.
See better example:

THIS IS OUR FIRST ROMAN 'BC' COIN - WHOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO :o :o ;D ;D

Yes, I'm aware that some coins there are marked with WRL representing a reproduction mark. But please tell me if that means Westair Reproduction Limited, Winter Reproduction Limited or some other name. Is that a private company name or the 'official' way of designating a replica coin in your country?
Thanks,
Don.

As far as I'm aware it has to be marked or altered in a significant way so as to make it clear to the buyer that its not original.

OH MY Gawwwwd! To think that coin has not seen the light of day for 2000 years just blows my mind. Great find..can I come over to your house and play?

PS what are some of the next oldest/most valuable coins you have found, as we all know old doesn't always mean valuable?
HH
Blue

Someone is already coming over to play, wouldn't say who ;)

Most valuable - either my Gold Qter Noble of 1451 or Celtic Silver unit - recorded as the 7th one found (now 14 recorded examples)
