Hey everyone

Had one of those hunts this morning that I wanted to share with you guys

I got up at 5:45 and headed out to a old park that's been producing these past couple hunts

I haven't been out much due to heat and travel base ball. Typical day had a few oldies and then it happened.

Just got done digging a older clad and I look up and see a large silver coin on the surface. I'm like no way a Morgan on the surface

I was pumped. I shot a video filled the hole and bam another one sticking out of the side of the ground. Video number two

Then they just kept coming. 4 total and I was just on cloud nine. I've found silver dollars in the past including one a few months back

There's to many swear words on the vids to show but you can imagine the excitement. I'll post better pics later when I can slowly clean them up

I also got two buffs one v one trolley token a 63 Rosie and a 60 Washington.

This was a once in a lifetime dig. I've recovered other small hoards like this in the past

Thanks for looking hope You guys enjoy the pics

Thanks everyone

Yes I'm thinking small cache. When I found the first one I was like alright got a Morgan and was more than happy. When a second one came I really got thinking. I actually called my brother at 8:30 am and my wife witch I never do because the find was so exciting

I shot 4 videos by the time I recorded the 4th Morgan I wasn't even myself in the vids. I literally said the f word 10 times in each video. I literally lost my train of thought. My mind was racing like I may find handfuls of Morgan's.

I've had a lot of smiles over the yrs but this one finds its own place in my memory. I'll be back out there soon. I believe I got them all. But the area has not been fully covered

Thanks again to all for the nice comments

Man oh man that's sweet! To find one is amazing. I've been that lucky once in 25 years. But to find four? Hoping there are more coins in a cache there. It's hard enough to lose one silver dollar, but people just don't lose four unless they are intentionally buried.

congrats,

buck

Can't believe it's hasn't made banner. It's hard enough to find 1 silver dollar But I'm pretty sure less people have dug multiple large silvers than a gold coin

Thank you guys for the comments

Yeah BB I'm leaning towards small cache. No way someone lost 4 of these big heavy coins. I was near some very wealthy homes. Would have been nothing to walk across the st to the edge of the woods and stash something.

This would be the second time in my career finding a silver dollar on the surface. Must take a lot for a coin that large to get under ground. There was no sign of a jar or rusted can etc. I have to check over the area really well.

I was really hoping that elusive gold coin was gonna be mixed in there. Probably harder to find 4 silvers dollars than a single gold coin. I'll keep looking. Hope I can find one at some point.

Thanks again to everyone who made this post what it is

Judging by the conditions and dates on those coins, I would say they were dropped in late 1921, early to mid 1922 at the very latest. Nice job, I would love to find just one of those!

Holy Crap!!!!! You were in the right place at the right time! WOW what a find!!!!:notworthy::notworthy::notworthy::notworthy:. If it were me ,someone would have thought I was nuts because I would have been hollering and jumping up and down all over the place. I have to agree with some of the others about maybe more being close by. I guess if there was easy access to the area it's possible maybe the coins were in some dirt that was dumped there in the past.

Congratulations on a find that most of us just dream about! Jesus, I'm pretty excited and I didn't even find them :headbang:
