Found these nice Crotal bells at a school yard that I did not think I could find anything but clad .. normally I have hunted around the outskirks of the field do to kid playing soccer . As I do always fill my holes and tamp them as best as poss . I always felt stay away from where the Kids run around . Well this day July 17 to be exact I decided to try in the middle of the field , low and behold I nipped these three nice ones before being told to stop digging by a school security guy ... sombody called on me so now I won't go back there ... unbelievable .. I also went back to walk my dogs up there ( thats ok ) and none of the holes I dug were visible oh well :( IMG_2356.JPG IMG_2357.JPG IMG_2358.JPG

I keep telling folks that I may not ever find one of those down this way, but the fact is ya'll northerners keep finding them crotal bells. Folks didn't ride horse down here, gators instead. Couldn't get close enough to the front of the gator to attach the bells without being attacked! Great saves!

Cool crotal bell finds, congratulations!

Visiting this type of site needs to be done early (5:00 am) in the morning when prying eyes or busy bodies are not awake.

Those are some gorgeous bells! I would look into whether or not there is really no detecting at your location. The security lackey probably has no idea but went onto auto pilot "get out, no detecting" because some nosy grouch called and complained.

Great finds. I love digging old crotal bells. With as many as I have found, I have never found 3 in one outing. I would have been in heaven at your spot. To bad some no-nothing person had nothing better to do than pick up a phone and complain. Those people really ought to get a life.
