Hello:)
I find these everywhere around here in central Connecticut where there was once a thriving native american population.
These are photos of each side. Holding them in your hand is a better way to appreciate the strange features that all these stones have in common.
They remind me of atlatl weights but they are all oddly bent!
Does anyone have any idea what these are?

Nice finds. I don't know squat about them, but always like seeing the finds! This sub is for Today's finds, so as long as you found them today it should be all good. However, you'll get better feedback in the American Indian artifacts sub.
North American Indian Artifacts
That doesn't mean when you come in from a hard days hunting that we wouldn't appreciate seeing them here. Happy hunting!

Thumb scrapers I've found look nothing like those. Maybe something else.

yeah. Three of these stones show work patterns... of the "burins", just the black one. Of the "weights" the two small black stones on the left. the rest just seem so similar that im intrigued by the patternicity.
Im trying to move the thread. is it possible?

oh yeah and I did this too... lined up my rocks like little dolls. So now I know I've lost my mind. Cute though.

MH,

First, welcome to T-Net. Great bunch of folks here.

This last photo helps to distinguish the uniformity or "patternicity" (had to look that one up because I thought you had made it up!) of the five tools on the right. Don't know what purpose they serve(d) but great finds! Please keep sharing your finds.
