So yesterday I was out dirt fishing and started up a large rock face when I slipped and broke my detector in half !! ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1469626897.698781.jpg ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1469626909.935337.jpg ! Immediately I called whites and was told the cost in labor I was stunned . Realizing I don't have that kind of money I posted my problem here on TNET within minutes people were posting ideas on how to fix it ! So I would like to say thankyou to all of TNET !!! This site is my best find ever

Yep,, everytime I think I have had a unique experience,
I find out that the experience I had is "Old news"
There are not people here on Tnet who have had the same experience, but more importantly, they give suggestions for resolving the problem.

Hello Tanz 82,

The most important thing is you are not hurt.

The machine can be fixed, but looks like you need a few parts. Was the quote for repair a large percentage of a new machine?

Good Luck with the repair.

I had a similar experience in 2014 ...slipped on a wet rock and broke my...ankle. I had to hobble out of the woods using my AT Pro as a crutch. As actor, Michael Conrad, was fond of saying in the tv series , Hill Street Blues,..."Let's be careful out there!"

that all? very easy. It is the same problem I have.
Any gold coins that had been dropped have either been found already or you have not yet went over one with your detector!

NEXT?

The coil on my Xterra 705 broke almost everywhere. Little 2 part epoxy and duct tape fixed it up no problem! Sorry about your machine.
