My first pocket spill of old nickels.

I got invited back to the old smelter town today. I noticed they had turned and moved some dirt around so I headed there first. Found a couple of wheats there and the comb. Moved to another spot they had removed some weeds from. One more wheat. Getting hot I headed back to my jeep to reup on the fluids almost there I hit this solid signal with odd numbers so I dug it and out popped this sword broach. I love it. After my short break I took a walk around a baseball field that was added in the late 50s. After digging several misrepresented signals from the dam pull tabs. I hit a solid penny signal. When i hit the dirt out popped the pocket spill 2 v nicks 1 buff. And 1 wheat. Stood up and hit the whole again and bam another buff. Total found 3 buff. 2 v. 5 wheats. Sad part is they been in the dirt and stuck together so long that's the best I can do with the cleaning. V nicks are 1911 I believe and 1905. Thanks for looking. Enjoy the pics.

Congrats on a cool find. Years ago I found a spill of four Indian Head cents and a V nickel. They were terribly corroded and stuck together. The only way I could tell what they were was to pry them apart. I actually wish I had left them stuck together in a lump.

That's a great spill, and I hope your next spill is a bunch of Barbers!
