Take clear pictures of it along side a penny or quarter.
Do you know what it is made of? Test it with a magnet for any kind of iron content. (Counterfeit )
Where was it found, eg: beach, woods, park, purchased, etc?

It's a fake 1736 Spanish Colonial (Potosi Mint) 8 Escudos, not an 8 reales.
Very common fake been around for long time.
