Went looking for a couple foundations today but ended up not being able to find them. Fell back on a yard site we hunted a few years ago. Strayed a little farther from the house and picked up a crisp 12-46 in my headphones at about 8 inches deep. Pulled a very small pocket watch from the hole. Never saw one this small before. Included another other pocket watch and a pocket watch cover I found in the past for size comparison purposes. Not much else today.

Did you open it yet, let's see what's inside. Nice find. A little slow today but we have next week. I will work on something for Friday.

Its brass. Not very big. I don't have a scale to weigh it.

A gold one would be nice. :laughing7: Definitely on the bucket list. Closest I've come is a silver cover to a pocket watch last year. The watch wasn't with it.

Yes silver or gold ones are the best but we take what we can find right? That is small. Mine are all large and unfortunately all brass also.

Congrats on the small pocket watch. :occasion14: I think I dug a smaller one, and it's even gold :headbang:. I never get tired of digging pocket watches, many times it's just pieces of the case or the frame, but I cherish them anyways.

Haven't messed with it yet. Maybe we can give it try next week before we go out detecting. I'll bring it over.
