Damn that coin is incredible! It takes a lot to really grab my attention. That coin certainly did the job. Draped silver is very high on my long list of wants. Congrats on a once in a lifetime find

My buddy Jay had permission for the field. He was there last year to witness my second gold coin in 1 month on his new site. I hope he doesn't stop inviting me... A 1777 1 reale and the 1900 o Barber Half dollar followed. Cant wait to get back on this field. Art

As I am finding , In life we begin having the Blissful happiness & the Wonder & innocence of a Child, then fall Quickly, then spend the rest of our lives trying to reach that point where we began ,through Pleasure , Fame, & Materials but Only 'Through true faith in Jesus , can we find Prefect Happiness or true Meaning in our Short lives on this Beautiful Earth filled with both the Light of Pure goodness & The Darkness of Pure Evil. Half Dime is pretty interesting. You actually have 2 errors on the coin. You have the "LIBEKTY" error from the die that was still in use from 1800- part of 1801. This has the broken top of the "R" in Liberty. You have what appears to be a broken die, or die clash error where the impression of some of the reverse is evident taking out the top r. of the "Y" extending through the stars on the right obverse. Coins dated 1801...1803 , and 1805 are said to be the most poorly struck coins ever issued by the mint. I don't know if these errors add to the value or not, but just indicates probably an earlier 1801 struck coin with the use of the "LIBEKTY" die, or broken "R" punch. Nice coin.........Congrats. FYI......Some may argue a "cud" error on the second, but I'm pretty sure it's a die clash error. It's also interesting to note that the RED BOOK does not mention the "LIBEKTY" price for 1801. There is another Valentine variety (V-3) that I cannot find any pics or reference to. V-3 variety is listed as Extremely Rare with only about 3 examples known. Curious minds would like to know.
