He got us another 18th Century Farm Site.

Sorry I forgot to snap Pics of the Place,

But here is a Birds Eye View From PennPilot

1.jpg

The house is Built around a Circa 1780's Cabin
The Summer house sat Behind it where the Garage now Sits.

No gas rebate For me today. I couldn't find even 1 Coin.
The entire place seems to be sitting in an Iron-ore field
Or else they threw scrap everywhere. My Detector was either dead silent or Chirping all the Time.

The Few times I did get repeatable signals I found mostly this

part of a SUNBEAM Clip

Our Guess Vintage Sunbeam Bread closers

Hunting with your nephew is a treasure in itself. I've got 3 nephews that enjoy the hobby, and I get a kick out of watching them. You're a good man.

Congratulations on the new permission. Some good finds. Has to be more there, but it being a very old farm lots of targets to sort through.

Did you ever make it back out to that old pool site with your nephew? I just remember that because I always wanted to hunt the old sand trap filters my self.

we almost went there yesterday, but when he come up with the farm,
we decided to do that.
sort of glad we did put it off. The Sun was brutal. & I spent allot of time
hogging the shade, which there is non at the pool site.

need a Very cloudy day to make the trip worth while

I can see that, plus not always does someone have access to an old farm, the old **** down pool yes but not the farm.

But I am glad to hear that you are considering going back, I hope you find the old sand trap filters, which would have normally been located behind the deepest end of the pool or in some old pool house.

Glad you got permission to hunt, Jeff, for both your nephew and you. Yeah, I think I'd wait for a month or two for temps to come down to somewhat normal before going back.

Nice site for a hunt.
Enough age to produce , depending on frugality, and kids.
Always suspect some card money squirreled away long ago , but no success yet.
Accused a friend with four generations tromping about on one farm after a 12 cents in clad hunt, of being from a poor family.

Nice finds! Congrats on getting permission to hunt it.

Looks like your nephew snagged the coins for ya!

Nice bale seal, dog tag, button, bread fastners & etc.
Maybe they did some landscaping, would account for the feast or famine on targets.

I hunt a field that has a ton of scrap, hard finding a clear spot to ground balance.
I'm guessing you've had some rain there.
I was getting deeper targets when we had real dry ground, i'm guessing because there was more moisture deeper in the ground making deeper targets more readable than the shallow ones in dryer ground.
I came up with what i think is the end of a car leaf spring. It was bouncing in the coin range like can slaw does. Weird cause iron usually reads as iron.
