Didn't work. The heat & Humidity saw me coming.

Went to a Local Park today.
One of my old Hammered Standbys.

& decided to Hunt the N.E. Woods area.

Untitled.jpg

This was part of the North Woods, We were asked to avoid till the Spring.
while they clean it out to
Extend the Park to it's Old size.
at some point they apparently lost interest & let it grow back up :(

thank ! I believe c 1900 for the Park.

before that it was a Farm from late 1700's up

& yes it has provided many coins from both periods over the Years.
but it is Seriously Hammered in the open areas.
in Fact I found so many 1800's coins here I wonder if the history is wrong on when
the park started. it may have been an unofficial picnic area throughout the second half of the 1800's

I think you should just COOL it, Jeff. ;) Let the rains help you. You're going to have to get some sometime, right? At least you got some gas money.

Maybe you can talk your nephew into bringing along his riding mower? ;)

Isn't it funny how many times we hunt a favorite place and even though nothing is being found. We expect a
different result each time out? LOL

Stay cool!

Yes but Occasionally we get surprised :laughing7:
I'm still convinced there is at least one very Nice Bust Half there somewhere
I know there are some Barber & seated Dimes Large Cents & V Nickles there yet.
And considering the Past.

There must be a few More Half dimes, and 3 Cent silver. Just in the wrong spots yet.

But hopefully not too deep.

I think there is a Chucky Token waiting for You also

by the way expecting a Different Result each time is the definition of insanity :laughing7:

The key thought in my mind about all those coins you mentioned? Is that yeah, maybe OR....they USED
to be there! ;)

And about the J.O.P. token? Naaah...you can keep 'em.

my odds say You never find the last one of anything anywhere.

If you find one, There are still 2 .. at least :laughing7:
you find 2 There must be 4 More.

"Odds" after all, How Lucky can anyone be to find the Only One.. anywhere ?
That's like getting struck by Lightening from Mars.
