Spit on it and wrap it in tinfoil, after 10ish seconds open it up and if it smells like sulfur then it's silver.

I find these all the time in Washington. Melted aluminum can parts. Sound like great targets in the ground but are just junk leftover from lazy campers. HH! :sadsmiley:
