actually the park turn of the century or older.
the original farmstead. late 1700's (1770's I think)

the buildings probably 1930's

actually in the last photo there is a tree to the right.
in that general area I pulled a 2 Center back in the 1980's
and Many indians to the right of that area.

These days the Good finds are harder to Come By. But Most definitely there yet

An inviting looking site.
One old park here has six inch pines covering old grounds that still turns up a goody with patient tiny swings.
Coins and old glass for you should be tolerable on a short hunt. Frosting for getting out.

The heat has been a beast in the area Jeff. I'm glad you didn't overdo it.

I think that wheat is an earlier one.

Glad you were able to do a bit of swinging, Jeff. But....I think it sounds like you should be going *with* somebody now.

Be careful!

Sweet bottle! Congrats!
Nice clad rebate.

Your trash is intetesting, seems its older. Mind is usually modern can slaw the mower has tossed around, meaning the silver may not be there.

You have plenty of places to sit in the shade, i hope you take advantage of that. Also wrap one of those small ice packs in a bandanna and tie it on the back of your neck. That gives me a half hour to one hour more hunting time depending on how hot it is.

I didn't even get out last weekend, my good ankle decided to do me in....i was not happy!

This is me liking your post
....one of these days i will somehow get in synch with the e-world.

What's with just the top of the cans, Jeff? Seems like there should be more of the cans around? Glad to didn't hunt to heat exhaustion! The great cool-down is coming.

In the early 60s and into the 70s, most beer and soda was in bimetal cans, only the top was aluminum, the rest of the can was steel. I find these tops all the time, the steel has just rusted away.

Cool weather almost here, Jeff.

Congrats on getting out. Easy does it with the heat.
We have finally gotten a break from the 90 plus degree days.
