Today I wanted to try some fields we haven't looked at for years. Ones we have crossed off the list. Started by checking the Aerial shots again - nothing, so time for boots on the ground & see if the Deus works something out.
Tried 4 fields, & the confidence the Deus had given was gone, these fields really were duds.
I had left a small corner next to where I had parked the bike to do last. Its not a great spot but we had found a few scrappies in the past. 2nd run I got a scrappy, really relieved not to blank. Then the Roman Silver popped out, first from this field, not a looker but made my day.8-)

Denarius of Vespasian circa 68AD.

Congrats on the silver and other finds
Sept. is normally one of our better months but not this year, that Roman Silver is the first of the month!

Some years are better, some not. You got a roman silver so this day was a good one.
We had no rain for 8 weeks now and the soil is solid as concrete and no good fields available. I draw blanks the last 5 or 6 outings. Not fun...

To be fair we are just paying for an amazing start to the year, during what should have been the slow period! lol
We are already on 21 Roman Silver & 27 is our best ever year, so we may get close....??

Yeap, wouldn't want to be you right now.....
