I hit a park in the burbs again today and got in a 3 hour hunt before the cloudburst.
Found 51 coins including a 1930 wheat and this 1891 Indian head.
I dug a tabtop at about 5 inches deep, rechecked the hole and still got a good signal so I dug down about another inch and found the Injun.
I cleaned it by letting it bubble for about 15 minuted in some heated peroxide and then putting a light coating of vaseline on it. One of my best looking Injuns so far.
Best luck , Merf

Hello Merf! Fantastic Finds! I was off all last week and had several locations to go to. Being my luck, it was one done pour after another.

Dang Merf, what a great looking IH. Beautiful.
I'm assuming the bubbling peroxide method would work on the wheats too, right?
I'm going to try that. My wheats look like cr-p. :'(
Congrats,
MM
