Found my first murc!!

Finally found a silver coin. Its been a long time, looking at the daily finds here just makes my want to find them more. This is my first merc and I love it.
I found it at the local school. I have hammered that place, its hard to find diggable signals anymore it seems. I'm down to digging pull tabs and other bad signals in hopes of uncovering good stuff. I was going over a spot I have been over many times and said out loud to my self " there is no signals to dig anymore" 2 seconds later BAMM good signal 4-6" down. I dug it up and split the plug. Looking at me was the most beautiful sight.... The silver ribed edge of a coin. Pulled it out and was in shock at what I found.
This is for all the others getting frustrated... Don't give up! Persistence pays off!
Side note- I don't know why my thumb looks bruised. The picture freaks me out.

1st silver i ever found was a merc. i still love that coin. congrats. i remember the 1st time, i was like OH SH!T, ran to the truck to get water to wash her off the right way. left my detector and digging still laying out there. was a real rush and still is. never get tired of mercs.

This past summer I had the good fortune to find 3 silver dimes. After 6 years of digging and over 50 silver coins later, I still get that thrill as if it's my 1st. By the way, my first silver coin was a 1950-D Washington Quarter that was in excellent shape. Congratulations on your 1st silver coin.
