lol, that ought to be good for a banner just for the sheer amount of coins in one hole.

Loud, strong and long........I initially passed on it thinking it was a metal rod or pipe or chain entangled in the roots of the two trees on either side. Curiosity got the best of me...........

Copper mining is right Chizzy, :icon_thumright: Other Tnetters I hunt with would not dig those, but "by God" I dig'em.

They often kid me and tell me that they have a tot lot they can drop me off at while they go hunting the old stuff. :tongue3:

Your curiosity paid off! Glad you dug it. Copper or zinc? Or mixed?

Very cool congrats

Thanks, art..........

Dunno.......there appeared to be an equal number on both sides of that root..........like someone stashed a couple of penny rolls on each side.............

Yep, Loco-Digger.........I did 'em all, too. They add up!! I like goin' after the old stuff as much as the next mder, but I'm not too proud to gather up whatever the Good Lord puts under my coil............
Heck, the can slaw, pull tabs, copper, brass, lead, etc. I've dug will all go the the local salvage yard for scrap money and into the mding account!!

Haha that's crazy!

Sure was crazy.......and hour of chasing targets with the pointer!!

quite the honey hole.

LOL........after all that mining, I scanned the hole with the detector and heard another deeper signal. So, with hopes of a little reward for my efforts, I dug down another 6" under the root and found........a pull tab!! :laughing7:

Your curiosity paid off! Glad you dug it. Copper or zinc? Or mixed?

Yeah, I'm glad.......even if it was only to say "it happened". The final breakdown: 65 copper, 1 Canadian and the balance in Zincolns............

Nice. I would have dug them also. I still bend over to pick up a penny I find on the street. Money is money, and it all adds up.
