Very nice find, especially the France coin!

Some long-ago resident had a very bad day losing that much money.

I have a similar France 5 Francs coin, this one acquired from a California coin dealer in the 1960's:

    France 5 Francs 1831-D (Lyon) 37mm 24.17gm

This one has obviously circulated for a long time, losing some weight (3.5%) in the process.
After viewing this post, I wonder if it spent it's time in France or in America.
