Hello all. I have only hunted a few times in the past month but I was able to sneak out of work early today to try out my newly aquired Teknetics G2 since it finally rained some. Deus still my primary detector but wanted to get another decent detector to try a sniper coil on in the iron beds of my seated field. Havent got the sniper yet but was still able to nab my first old nickel in quite a while. Date looks to be 1875

I agree with the Professor.
Shield Nickels are a tough find and even tougher to find one with details.
Congrats

Congrats

Thanks. Shield nickels tend to hold up better than v nickels in my experience. Id say the shield nickel, 2 cent, 3 cent nickel(which I have yet to find), 3 cent silver, flying eagle, seated halves and half dimes are the hardest coins to find that most anyone has a reasonable chance of finding

That's a good omen when your first target is a keeper. Hope the G2 serves you well in the iron. I am loving my 5" coil more and more every time I re-hunt an area and pull oodles of coins and other finds.
