Hello Everyone,

I decided to visit the local farm permission for some Relic and coin hunting. The temperature wasn’t too bad, around 42 degrees, but the constant 15-20 mi/hr wind was no fun. I did manage to hunt for six hours with a few cups of hot coffee to warm me up during “warm-up” breaks. I ended up finding a few nice coins and relics during the hunt, so it was worth the effort.

The coin finds: 1875 & 188x Seated dimes, 192x Mercury dime, 1911 & 1918 Wheat cents and a Toasty 1905 V-nickel. The Relics: Small buckle, flat button and two lovely ornate buttons. Also found more spoon pieces, plates and iron objects.

Thank you looking.

GL & HH

That buckle is really old... Possibly dates into the late 1600s. Congrats on the finds!

Hold the phones....that's a beautiful stud chape buckle you have there! Those date from the mid 17th C to the early 18th C. Nice find!

The buckle is a little out of place compared to the other finds, I believe its early 1700s.

Looks like you persevered and conquered Doc. Two seated coins in one hunt, that's something I've never done. Congrats on your finds.

Lol. But you've dug many, I've only seen examples. A cool one was I got to hold one of BillD's stud chape buckles in person. Definitely something atop my list.

Congrats again POE!
