Looks like the weather is about to take a turn for the worse. So I hit the one room schoolhouse for the first time in many months. Weve finally had lots of rain lately and I love how it makes for great "coin balls" and impressions in the dirt. Was able to locate three indians(two were in a spill with a wheat cent) and about six more wheats from this pounded site

Sweet digs toasted. I to like to hunt after or during rain, seems like the detector goes a little deeper. Congrats on those 3 Indian Heads. :occasion14:

LD nailed it. wet dirt helps with depth on those weak hits. the '93 is a winner

Actually I think it was more of a masking issue. I was running a higher reactivity on the deus today and a lot of my coins were right along side or mixed with junk. Nothing is very deep here

I really like the impression ! For Indian heads are you getting readings similar to zinc cents ?

Indians usually ring up just like zincolns but can sometimes be a little higher or lower like anything I guess. I had a nice higher number after pulling the two indian spill. Was hoping for seated or barber but it wasnt meant to be. Stinking 1910 wheat:BangHead:

Congratualtions on the IH (great patina) hunt! I too love the wet ground, much better to detect the deep hiding coins. :occasion14:
