So......I snuck in another "walk" when ole man winter wasn't watching.
It was right cold out there, the wind chill made it a lil worse. But, I'd dressed
for -50 degrees. LOL I wasn't taking any pushes. ;)

So, I chose a favorite clad factory, decided to start in a tot-lot. I got there,
turned on the machine, tuned, ground balanced, then, as I always do
on a tot-lot, I de-tuned 2 levels below max.

I walked about 10 steps & this was my very first hit:

Marked and tests at 10k.

I have to admit, I was sorely tempted to just say, "Nuff said!" and go back home!
Nowhere to go from "UP". LOL

Of course, I stayed a couple hours, found just a couple coins, but I was floating through
the whole rest of the walk. :)

I love when this happens, a recent drop of an old coin.
Not very often I can add a wheatie in this kind of shape.

Also, HE was in a rare mood today. Not only did He lead me
over this ring but the very next thing I found was that hilarious
smiley face thing. I guess he was showing me what I was looking like! :)

Anyway, if you do go out there, bundle up!!

It's beginning to ICE up out there! LOL

Thanks for peeking!

At 10K, the diamonds won't be the greatest if they are diamonds and real. The gold is where the money is at. Congrats on getting out in the winter.

This is exactly the kind of thing that happens when a person sneaks about when every fiber in their body tells them to be cautious........throw caution to the wind and get rewarded.........your setting a precedent that many will follow in hopes of repeating your success..........
Hang on a moment and let me get my Carharts on...............:laughing7:
Congrats on that sunny bling!!

There is no question who's claiming that one!
You braved the cold and walk away a winner with a smile, well done!

I think i maybe out for the season, but we'll see, i haven't taken the batteties out just yet.
Gound is frozen an inch down & we get "that white frozen stuff" overnight. [emoji53]

As always, you are an inspiration!

Those diamonds look real to me, and the mounts are professionally done. To the good life! :treasurechest::occasion14::skullflag:

Wow that is really nice. Did you test the stones? They look good.

Thanks for all the wonderful responses folks! It does feel good having a place to share, especially with ones' who appreciate them.
I told a friend about the ring and he said, "That's nice....so, do you know anything about refrigerators?" :dontknow:

Most on here know that finding out what my finds are worth falls way down on my scale of priorities. I'm perfectly happy just finding them, no matter the intrinsic value. If I find that treasure chest, I promise, I'll check. :tongue3:

As far as the ring goes, I ran enough of my own tests to know what I have, (leaving room for my imperfection. ;) ). I'm satisfied with my results. I know others want to know for sure, (for whatever reason). :dontknow: So, as I said the ring is marked 10k and I did an acid test which agreed. (Note: sometimes a jeweler will use a 10k as opposed to something higher to give the structure strength for holding larger type stones.) Second, I do have an electronic diamond tester and I do know they can be fooled. That said, they do test as real.

I'm sorry, but that's as far as I'm going to take it, (unless a financial emergency comes up. ;) ). It will now reside in a nice, WARM, safe deposit box at the bank.

I might try to go out another time or two this year, if ole man winter doesn't freeze me out. But, if I find absolutely nothing else this year, I just gotta say. This was a VERY successful and enjoyable fortieth anniversary year in this hobby. Yep, started in '76. After all these years....I got just two questions:

1.) WHO KNEW! LOL

2.) And.....what's up for the 2nd half of my "career"? :)

Thanks again!
