Hey Everyone,

Hope everyone is getting out and doing what they love to do. I've had ample opportunities to get out but I made the best of them.

These finds represent one Saturday and 2 Sunday hunts over the past 2 weeks or so. For a total of around 12 hrs in the field.

I have a good feeling that I just scratched the surface of this area. I expect alot more good finds from here in the future.

I'm not going to get into how each coin was recovered. But Saturday was the big day for the most part.

I decided to see if Lance my brother wanted to get out with me. We recovered over 30 old coins together in about 4 hrs. All old dating before the 50's.

The high lights for the day included Lance finding a hole with a seated dime and a barber dime in the same hole. Second seated coin in 2 weeks to come out of the area.

Although that was going to be tough to match I scored later in the day a barber quarter and merc dime in the same hole. Man I love this hobby.

I ended up with 18 old coins and a old gold ring. Lance had a healthy 13 old coins. We had a good time that day.

The rest of the items were found on 2 other outings. One by myself and one with Lance.

I will write a break down on all the finds. Feel free to coment on things and give suggestions to what items are. No relics again this time.

There were a ton of them. Just to much time and space to get them up. Hope you all like the pics and finds.

19 Wheat Cents
4 Indian Heads - 1906 1864 1904 1896
3 V- Nickles - 1891 1904 1911
2 mercs 1916 1937
1 1914 Barber Quarter
1 1940 Jefferson
1 Marry Dressler Popsicle Token
1 Unknown Coin/Medal made of lead and destroyed by me in the recovery process. Coin was deep and the grounds are really dry.

1 Half a sterling spoon or fork handle. Possibly a knife.
1 Nice Old Railroad Baggage Tag I think. Says E.S.H 46 Sagerstown P.A.

1 Old 9ct gold and silver ring with 2 out of three stones still in the ring.

1 24kt gold plate lip stick tube. 24 Kt Gold............

Hope you all like the finds and enjoy the pics and write up.

Good luck to all,

HH Jeremy

Great finds as always Jeremy! Gotta love multiple silver in the same hole.
Looking forward to seeing you again and getting a full day's hunt in.
PM me with directions. My last PM to you had our point of departure, so go from there. We can be on the road very early the morning of the 28th!

Thanks alot guys,

I have a item I need comments on guys. Here are 3 pics tell me what you think it was used for.

Dan that sounds good man. I'll do my best to get everything togther for you and make it easy. Should be a fun get together.

Kirk, without saying to much. It's a wooded area that sits behind a really old neighborhood. It was a well used set of land. Old dirt rds running through it.

Alot of trash in certain area's. Made it tough for hunting. Had the 1400 coil on. You better be good with it if your gonna seperate. I'm sure there is more.

We need some heavy rains here in P.a. Once you figure out how people back then used the land. You can find old coins and items all the time.

I've put in alot of time over the yrs figuring it out. So making these types of finds anymore has become a very regular thing for me. I love this hobby and work hard at it.

Nothing like finding an old spot that hasn't been detected before and starting to find coins. Some spots only produce a small amount - yours looks like it is doing you well. :)

I haven't been getting out that much lately as I have been doing a lot more boating and other summer activities.

Thanks alot everyone,

I have found alot of 1916 mercs. Over 15 for sure with no mint mark. I have some 17 and 18 D and S mint marks. But not the eulisive 16 D.

It's like folks back then knew what yrs were low mint yrs. Then they held onto them. People been collecting coins for a long time.

Goldfever, The top dirty pyle was my brothers finds for the day. Mine is the lower pyle. I just wanted to show you guys how we did together for 4 hrs a piece in the field.

It was a charm with a guy running on it. It wasn't holded or anything though. It was smooth on the back.

Jocky, You got it for sure. Thanks man for the I.d. It is really crazy when you look into it. It's all crystalized in it like how a geo rock looks in the center.

It is a older one though. I never seen one any where.

Thanks again everyone for your thoughts and ideas. I'll be around again here shortly with another good post for you all.
