Today for my last hunt of 2016 I spent a few cold and windy hours hunting a nearby schoolyard. The top inch or two of ground was frozen, but it was wet and muddy underneath, so I got good and dirty digging up targets.
My best finds were a super-toasty dateless Indian Head cent and a miraculous medal. The medal isn't marked, but it's shiny and rings up like silver, so I'm adding it to my silver total for the year.
Not a bad hunt - I'm always happy to find an IHC, toasty or not, and the silver medal was a nice surprise.
