I wasn't in much hurry to get this year started. Lots of reasons.
But, mostly, I just wanted to enjoy one of the best years for a bit longer.

There were a LOT of firsts last year and it was one of the most
fun years I've had in this hobby. You guys made it that for me.

So, they were talking about the cold and snow coming back into my area
and that today would be pretty mild. Hence, I decided to get at least one
walk in before the weather started locking me in the house.

Where to go? I opted for a stand by clad factory that was built on old ground.
Stuff to keep one interested and always the chance of finding something old.
I found part of a snake buckle here once.

Here's the results of the first walk of 2017 :

2017 (1).jpg
2017 (2).jpg

Pretty well destroyed bullet of some sort. :dontknow:

2017 (3).jpg
2017 (4).jpg 2017 (5).jpg

Some sort of either a tag or insert. Non-magnetic.
Just another of those things that make it an interesting walk. :)

2017 (6).jpg

Poor Blingie! He's almost sleepwalking. Fishy keeps waking him up
from his hibernation, telling him about all the shiny coming in. (naughty fishy!)
I didn't have the heart to tell him that this thing, whatever it is, is magnetic. LOL

So, there ya go guys! The first walk of 2017! With, hopefully, many, many more to come.
I'm kinda glad I didn't find any huge bucket listers today. It's so hard to go anywhere from up. ;)

Thanks again, for taking time to peek.

Happy New Year!

Thanks again guys! It's always nice to come on here and know there's people sharing & caring.

BTB, anyone know what is that thing the Blingster's wearing? :dontknow:

Maybe some sort of multi-tool for cleaning spikes? :dontknow:

the circle with danglies looks like the remains of a dream catcher earring. I have a couple I got in jewelry lots as singles. it may be silver, 2 of the 3 I have found are.

Glad you can get out and have fun. Hope you have another wonderful year and I think we all look forward to your adventures. Hope Fishy and Blingie can show off some amazing things for you this year. Just keep Fishy out of vehicles, he tends to crash too many.

Great start for 2017, thanks for sharing! 5 degrees outside here right now. One benefit though, it keeps the mosquitos away for a while!

Thanks! I can see where that might be the case with this one. But, it's not silver, completely magnetic. Still a fun find.

It's the "different" type finds that keeps me coming back. :)

That's why I try to post as much as I can thru the winter. I know what it feels like! Might not find much "worthy of posting", but, I'll endeavor to keep entertaining. LOL

If you need something to fill time, take a peek at the link in my signature. It's just a post on here, but, it will keep you busy! For a while anyway. ;)

Ya know, this lil piece is proving to be a puzzle. Looks like a remnant of a loop at the top.
It sort of looks like a two piece something pressed together.
I figured just a tab off a zipper pull. But, all tests are saying silver.

Anyone? :dontknow:

Fishy has Blingie jumping, or crawling thru hoops!

It does look like an earring of some type.

Yes congrats on getting out there and finding goodies!

I'm sure all the worms are very busy bringing up some really special finds for you, getting them into detecting range.

I haven't been detecting in months, seriously thinking about taking out the batteries till spring, but i just can't seem to make myself do that.
After a foot and a half of snow and 2 below freezing days...it hits 50 and rains!
.... 😏
