Got my first ever silver coins today! All in the same hole about 5" down. '52D half dollar, '37 Quarter, and a '54 Dime. The quarter had an old clad nickel stuck to it. Any ideas how to clean that off? Also, would appreciate an ID on the token/coin if anyone knows what it is. A really fun day!

Welcome to Tnet! Congrats on some nice silver, especially the Ben. Interesting token, coin? The emblems remind me of those found on reales. I will be interested to read more posts on that one.

I think the token is called a Van Brook token. Made by Van Brook Industries in Kentucky. Patterned after old Spanish Coin. Didn't notice the VB in the crown before.

I have a couple of those exact tokens. They are fairly common, were used in games and arcades. I think I have mine left over from a video arcade back in the 80's. Cool find.

Corvid..1-WELCOME to Tnet! 2-AWESOME finds! Many of us here have not ever found a genuine silver spill like yours...me included, so kudos on that...and the Franklin half STILL eludes me, still on my bucket list..as far as the green residue on your silver Washington, a little lemon juice should help. It's not a key date so you don't have to worry about subsequent damage and/or de-valuing it...clean it and enjoy it! Congrats on an excellent hunt..ddf
