Hey fellow T-netters, I hope everyone here took advantage of the great weather and had a great weekend detecting! On that note, I sure did..me and my buds Max and Richie first hit an old (now gone) elementary school where we pulled Mercury and Barber dimes and multiple Indians and wheats last weekend. With little luck today, we packed it up and headed to another older park where I've been only twice but pulled a ton of clad...older clad, just not old enough..if u get my drift. We poked around until we eyed an empty soccer field across the railroad tracks. Almost immediately the ATP screamed 88-89...the numbers were right and the tone was even better, and out popped the silver GW...I absolutely LUV silver Washingtons! Less than 30 seconds later...probably less than 15 actually, I unearthed the 1920 Mercury dime. That was my first BACK TO BACK silver finds! I've found two silvers in the same hole but never back to back like this. Richie dug a beauty of a 1950 Washington and Max dug what I thought was the find of the day, the Sons of Civil War Veterans medal..possibly 1888 per my hasty research. Thanks for looking, hope to be posting again soon...I've got tomorrow off! Woot woot...Ddf

Great day of digging and Congrats on your back to back silvers, gotta love that!!
Max's metal is actually a GAR badge (Grand Army of the Republic) Union veterans badge. I just found the same badge a few weeks ago.

Thx Deershed..my research on the medal was hasty and I figured I might have missed the mark, I appreciate the input! I'll pass that info onto Max...ddf
