I was able to get out with Treblehunter. He's a friend of mine but we don't find a lot of time to hunt together due to schedules. He was kind enough to invite me to a couple spots and here's what I found.

The KG's were 2nd and 3rd. And the bell, although broken, was a type I have not found. In all it was a good day and time well spent with a good friend.

Good hunts everyone!

Steve

I had a good time, I'm glad you took the time to drive down, kudos for being on the road for four hours. I ended up finding one button, imperial London, and three early 1900's bottles. I was chasing a deep iron signal when I started getting an eminence amount of old glass shards. My metal detecting turned into a bottle hunt. I went home very tired and messed with the bottles.
I look forward to this April when the "silver mafia" come up from NC to hunt with us, it was good hunting with you again and I'm so glad you pulled a bunch of keepers, you are a very good detectorist. I love that little star cuff button, where did that fatty Indian Head go? I was not sure I seen it in the pix? I'm going to post pix of my bottles.

Here are my bottles, I'm going back there and see how deep it goes, maybe I hit on the privy, not sure. I'm going to pick up that kid Joe and take him with me. He was out in those public fields yesterday, the ones that Carolina Tom was telling me he wants to hit ( I found a German coin in a bezel) Joe found his first Spanish half Real out there!

That's the problem - work always gets in the way of detecting!

Nice finds Steve. That's a very unique and interesting button-are those symbols on the star?

Thanks buddy. The fatty Cent is still being cleaned. 1861 I believe. I'll post it when it's ready.

That bottle pit is certainly worth digging in the future. If you found pontiled bottles first, there very well could be older bottles deeper. It was a pleasure as always hunting Brad. thx again

I can quite tell about the star. Found several ball buttons which is a lot in one spot, for me. Quite an eclectic bunch of buttons overall.

Nice finds Scrapdog. Colonial Coppers are just pouring out of your fields and I probably find one a year. From your picture, the back of your Prius looks a lot different than mine, weird. [emoji1]

Haha. That's the wife's Prius....

My Tundra can fit her Prius in my truck bed. When I bought the truck my wife says there's not enough room in our driveway for her car. I said she needs to buy a smaller one. Lol

Cheers buddy. Hopefully this spring "things" will come to fruition for us. Cheers Joey

Must be an awesome feeling pulling a KG from the dirt. Earliest coin I've found is 1876, where do KG's ring up, like an IHP? Or?

It's always a good feeling, however I don't field ID a majority of coppers nowadays so as not to remove any detail (and get more hunt time;)). However, I remember my first KG. Hell, I thought for a second my first KG was an electrical knockout! Then it sunk in. Lol

Thx for looking
