Been a long time for me to post on here. I've been super busy the last year and a half since I took on another 500 acres, but the adjustment period is almost over. Got out for an hour or so not having any luck at all. Was done an headed to my truck swiping fast as I walked, and got a good solid tone. Stopped to dig it up, and SNAP! Shovel broke. Lol. Looked in clod that I did get out an there it was. Caught a root in bottom of hole plus handle in socket was rotten. Anyways, got me a half dime. Barely recognizable. I'm pretty sure it's an 1840. Looked at it with my optivisors. Hope you all the best of luck, and I hope to be posting more soon.

Yes. It's actually pretty common for me. Last gear I was headed to my four wheeler, and 6 feet from it was a 1840 O dime. It always happens. Lol

I know, we can grid a 3 acre area systemically in 1 day & then get our best find on the way back to the car. It's just not logical, & kind of odd, that's why we detectorist invented the acronym.
