I've hit a an old homesite near my office at lunch. Found some odd relics including the brass clam and 6 wheats. Knew some silver was coming soon. Found an SLQ no date and a 64 GW this week! The SLQ came out of the hole like a typical silver coin, shiny and exciting. The GW was so blackened i wasn't sure it was a silver until I cleaned it up. The front yard area is giving these up, but I am losing 3" to matted long grass. Have to press down and go real slow to ID targets.

Good luck out there!

BTW I've surpassed my 2016 silver coins this year and we are still in Feb in PA!! Researching and hitting old off the beaten path homesites this year. Last year focused on the old schools.

Great finds, I bet that felt good
I started with a Ace 250, less than a year later I had an AT Pro, pound for pound, dollar for dollar, you can't beat an AT Pro I sold my Ace 250 for 150 bucks and found allot of silvers with it.

Sweet hunt, congrats on pulling those 2 silvers. :occasion14:You will amazed at the old coins you will find this season by hunting out of the way sites over schools and such. GL & HH

Better luck next time. Don't give up, whatever you do. The allure of brass clams is electrifying. Maybe the next clam will be golden.

Haha I also started with an ACE 250 last year and moved up to an AT PRO for 2017.

Nice find with the SLQ, I'm still searching for my first one. We have the same ballpark idea. I plan on hunting the woods/old forgotten foundations hard this year. It's already payed off for me and it's only February like you said.

Forecast is 77 degrees tomorrow in Pittsburgh!! Should be 17 and totally rock solid ice this time of year. Starting to see bulbs popping out of the dirt already. Here is a pic of the SLQ next to my first SLQ earlier this month. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1487878394.278441.jpg the one I found this week is a lot smaller...

Almost will feel like summer in February tmrw for sure! I'll only get 1.5 hours to detect tmrw after work. Once we spring ahead March 12th I'll have more time to get out
