I had a couple hours to hunt after work yesterday and decided to hit the beach with a friend. Thought I'd try an area I hadn't been to yet. It wasn't long and my friend found a buffalo nickel. Shortly after I found a buffalo nickel. Then working a little closer to the water line I ran across this US Army, pre-WWI. "Rimless eagle coat button". 1902-1910. Not civil but still cool!

The Buffalo nickel is neat but I'd have to go with the button as my favorite.
