Todays weather was awesome so I took my little boy out for a dig at a local park and hit a spot where I had found a couple of sterling forks in the past. After digging a sizable pile of trash and broken glass we found the good stuff once again. It's too bad they weren't all sterling, but adding 2 sterling forks to the two I already found there makes for a great day.

Total weight 5.47 oz Sterling

That's awesome! My son and I are looking forward to days like you had today. We are both starting out and hope to have some quality time outside discovering coins, relics and anything else we can learn about our area.
:occasion14: to you and your son!

Great to see parents engaging with their kids. Looks like he was having a great time with dad.

Ya I'm still trying to figure out if it's a covered over burn pit, if it's stuff from a house that was dozed, or if a house burned down and I need to keep looking till I find where the jewelry box was when it went up. All I know is I've never had more fun taking my kids to the park. My little boy is using a cheap analog detector I got got his big brother. Big brother never used it so he took it over and started following me around, which defeats the whole purpose of going to the park most of the time. I'll cherish these memories till Alzheimer's or Cardiac Arrest, which ever comes first. It was my own banner kind of day, Good times!
