Yesterday I told you guys about having found 4 sterling silver forks while out hunting with my little boy. Well today we went back and after filling my pouch with trash twice and removing a wheel barrel full of dirt trying to clean out the hole of all targets, bang we found two more sterling forks, and they were DEEP. The combined weight of all six pieces is just over 7.5 troy oz. This is a true bucket list silver cache even if it was never meant to be a cache.

Wow ! Wonderful score - Could six sterling forks found in one hole be something other than intentionally stashed (cached) ?

Honestly I assume it's either from a house that burned or a pit for burning trash that was covered up. I found all sorts of rusty cans old glass, nails, fence steeples, a carrot peeler, all typical kitchen drawer items, and there were a dozen or more items that were plated. Had it just been the sterling silverware then I'd go with burried cache. Either way, I'll take it!

Very nice!!!!!! Do the hallmarks give you any indication on their age? I'm gonna take a stab and say 1940's. Congrats!
