This is why you need to dig everything. A solid 40 on the vdi this is the third time I've dug gold reading between 30 and 40. I didn't believe it at first the clasp was to big to be gold turns out it's marked. My normal cut off is 45/47 ish this was solid 40/42 99.99% of the time foil or one of those plastic metal seals that read a perfect 41. If u want to find gold dig well below a nickel signal.

Dig all solid repeatable signals above iron with the ATPro when huntinh for gold. Two years ago I found a white gold diamond earring stud less than an inch depth that VDI at 36 or 38 I think. It was just this tiny little signal repeatable every direction and a bit more mellow than foil. The clean round sound....got to dig them and ignore the VDI.

Nice gold chain. Good digging!
